Your Own Branded Client App: What You Get, and What You Don't

What 'branded app' means on Trainzilla: your logo and colours in the client app, a public page and custom domain, and the one thing it is not: a separate App Store listing.

"Branded app" means different things at different vendors, and the difference matters when you are paying for it. Here is exactly what Trainzilla gives you, and the one thing it does not.

What you get

  • Your logo, name and colours in the Trainzilla client app. Clients download one free iOS or Android app, connect to you, and see your brand across the app, including the splash screen.
  • A public page for your coaching business, with a choice of four layouts: Kinetic, Clean, Studio and Boutique. Every coach can pick a layout. Using your own logo, name and colour on that page, plus your own header and footer, is part of Coach Pro.
  • A custom domain for that page and checkout, for example yourname.com, on Coach Pro. See Personal trainer website on your own domain.
  • Invoices carrying your logo and colour on Coach Pro and gym plans.

What you don't get

Your clients do not download an app with your name in the App Store or Google Play. They install the shared Trainzilla client app and it wears your brand once they connect. If you need your own store listing under your developer account, a fully custom-coded app is a different product, and Trainzilla is not that.

For most solo coaches and small gyms this is the right trade. Publishing and maintaining your own app means a developer account, store reviews, updates for every new OS release and a recurring bill. Using the shared app avoids all of that, and your clients still see your brand.

Gyms

Inside a gym, the gym owns the branding. Members see the gym's logo and colours, not each coach's. Gyms can also add up to 12 photos to their public page.

What to ask any vendor

  • Is branding included in the plan, or an add-on or setup fee? (Some tools charge a one-time setup fee, and the pricing comparison lists what we found, dated.)
  • Does 'white label' mean your logo in a shared app, or a separate store listing?
  • Who handles store review and updates?
  • What happens to your clients if you cancel?
