Does Trainzilla take a cut of my client payments?

Accepted Answer

No. Clients pay you directly: in India to your UPI ID (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), and outside India on your own Stripe, PayPal or Wise payment link. You confirm each payment in Trainzilla and the client's plan starts. That money never passes through Trainzilla and we take no commission. If you haven't added a UPI ID yet (India only), clients pay on Trainzilla's checkout and we transfer it to your bank, minus only Razorpay's gateway charge. You pay a flat platform fee: free for 30 days, then Coach Pro (₹499/month in India, $19/month elsewhere).

Does the AI change my clients' plans on its own?

Accepted Answer

No. The AI drafts changes and explains its reasoning, but nothing reaches a client until you approve it. It cannot message your clients, cancel anyone, or push a plan change by itself. It does the assembling and the arithmetic — you stay the coach who decides.

Yes. Trainzilla has a secure connector (MCP) that links your coach account to Claude and other assistants that support it. Once connected you can ask in plain language — "which clients haven't checked in this week?", "recalculate macros for this client at 2g protein per kg" — and the assistant works with your real client data. You authorise the connection yourself, it only ever acts as you, and every change it proposes is shown to you before anything is saved.

It reads a client's profile, logged sessions, habit compliance and recent check-ins, then proposes the next adjustment to their workout or diet plan with the reasoning attached. It can also sweep your whole roster for clients who have gone quiet, dropped below a compliance threshold, or whose subscription is about to lapse. You review and approve everything it suggests.

While TrainZilla welcomes trainers of all levels, we recommend having at least one recognized fitness certification (ACE, NASM, ACSM, K11, etc.). You can also join with relevant experience and work towards certification while using our platform. We provide resources to help you obtain recognized certifications.

Add each client from your dashboard with their basic details and goals, then send them an invite by email or WhatsApp to install the client app. You rebuild their current plan once from a template (or let the AI draft it from their profile), and from then on check-ins, habits and progress all live in one place. Most coaches move their roster over a week or two, a few clients at a time.

You review it, change anything you want, and publish it to the client's app. As check-ins come in, the AI can propose updates to keep the plan current — always for your approval, never on its own.

You add each person as their own client, with their own plan, check-ins and progress. There is no shared household account — training a couple or family just means adding two or three clients and, if you like, building their plans from the same template so they stay in sync.

Progress lives in three places that connect: scheduled check-ins (measurements, photos and the questions you set, in one queue), habit tracking (a daily-target compliance percentage over any date range), and session attendance. The AI can read all of it and flag clients who have stalled or gone quiet before your next call.

Our platform includes attendance tracking and automated reminder systems. You can set cancellation policies, require advance notice, and track patterns. For frequent no-shows, the system can suggest scheduling adjustments or flag clients who might need different support approaches.

How do I take UPI payments from clients in India?

Accepted Answer

Go to Profile → Payout details → In India and add your UPI ID (you'll find it in your UPI app's profile). When a client buys one of your plans, they pay the exact amount to your UPI ID from GPay, PhonePe or Paytm (by tapping on mobile or scanning a QR code on desktop) and then tap "I've paid". You confirm the payment under Billing → Payments to confirm and their plan starts. Money reaches your bank instantly, with no fees. Gym owners: one UPI ID covers all of your gym's membership plans. UPI payments don't auto-renew, so the client pays again each period.

Trainzilla issues invoices for the payments your clients make to you and keeps records you can export. It does not file returns or give tax advice — GST registration and filing depend on your turnover and setup, so check with a CA. If you are GST-registered, add your GSTIN and rate so it appears on invoices.

You can bill clients monthly on a recurring plan, so a longer package is spread across regular payments instead of one upfront charge. Trainzilla does not offer formal bank EMI, but month-to-month billing covers most pay-as-you-go cases and the system handles the recurring charge and reminders.
